Review: Just For Fun by Barbara Bryan... A Book Of Poetry For All Ages

Just recently my neice was lamenting about doing poetry in school.  Her facebook status read: "I hate poetry..it's so lame!"  So I commented and told her "you just haven't found the right poems yet!"

If she had Just For Fun by Barbara Bryan, I bet she'd agree!  This is a fun book of whimsical poems accompanied by full-color hand drawn illustrations.  These poems are not just for children - they're enjoyable for all ages!  Author Bryan touches on the ordinary things around us and makes them seem magical.
In Just For Fun, the reader will find poems pertaining to all four seasons along with an illustration that brings life to each verse.
Beautifully written, beautifully illustrated... these poems would be great for bedtime stories, or for read-aloud in the classroom.  When poetry is done in a fun and entertaining way, I would challenge my neice and any other skeptic to pick up a copy of Just For Fun and just try to keep from smiling!
