Several days ago I did a post about summers past. It was entitled Nostalgic Summer . You can click on the title to view the post in case you missed it.

Since I wrote that post, I've been thinking about all of the wonderful books I read when I was younger, and thought it would be fun to revisit some of those books. So I decided that during the summer (in addition to the mysteries I love to read), I will re-read some of my favorites and post about them. Some authors I loved were Judy Blume, Carolyn Haywood, Beverly Cleary, Ruth Chew, Donald Sobel, etc.

It might be fun to go back to my youth and relive the lazy days of summer I so loved, spent reading the day away! And since these books are all easy reads (now that I'm all grown up!), I'm confident that I can breeze through quite a few of them.
I guess in a roundabout way, I am designating this as my personal reading challenge. I don't participate in challenges as a rule - they seem to me to be too much like "schoolwork"... ya know... having to read a certain number of books by a certain date.
But I'm not pressuring myself to read any specific titles by any specific authors. Just whatever crosses my path and whatever tickles my fancy at any given time.
So, I hope you'll all take a trip back in time with me and relive your own youths through some of the awesome books of yesteryear that I may come across and share with you! It's gonna be FUN!
