Friday Book Blog Hop... and Other Friday Happenings

Hooray for Friday!!  It's that time again.... time for the Book-Blogger Hop!  Brought to us by Jennifer at Crazy For Books, the Hop is a weekly meme to help you discover all of the awesome book blogs out there in the blogosphere!

Hopefully, you'll visit some of the blogs on the list... who knows... you might just find some you like and make a few friends while you're at it!

How many blogs do you follow?

My answer:  I follow probably 100 or more blogs!  I don't get to visit every single one of them every single day, but I do go through my list and check out the latest posts.  If it's something I'm really interested in, I'll pop on in and comment here and there.  Also, I don't just follow book blogs.  There are all kinds of fun blogs out there that I'm discovering every day... just yesterday I found a blog about growing up on Long Island in the 1980's!  I love it!  Brings back so many memories!  And it turns out that the girl who writes the blog grew up about 5 miles away from where I did!

So, reading blogs has really become a big part of my life and I've made many "cyber" friends through blogs.  I'm so thankful for the opportunities that blogging has opened up for me.

In other news, I just found out that my younger sister is

pregnant!!!....... with TRIPLETS!!!

Holy cow!

Looks like we're gonna have our hands full!!!  We're so excited to be having not 1, but 3 new blessings in our lives!

I Got An Award! I Am A "Versatile Blogger"!

I would like to thank Lori at Dollycas's Thoughts for this Versatile Blogger award!

I am supposed to list 7 things about myself and pass on this award to 10 deserving blogs  that I follow. 

So, here goes:

1.  I was the first one to be able to read in my Kindergarten class and my teacher Miss Jordan rewarded me with a book titled "Open The Gate".  (I LOVED that book!)

2.  I am a good swimmer, but I never learned how to dive. :(

3.  I cannot drive a stick-shift.

4.  When my kids are grown and on their own, I would like to get an RV and travel in it.

5.  I can't pass up a good plate of pasta.

6.  I'm a natural blonde, but as I get older I need a little "help" maintaining that golden hue. :)

7.  I love cats!  Of course, I am in love with my Bassett Hound, Daisy.... but deep down, I'm a cat person. :)  Who can resist an itty bitty kitty?

I know I'm supposed to pass this on to 10 bloggers, but I am going to scale it down to 5 because my 10 year old is waiting for me to take him to the pool as we speak.  And when you're 10 and it's 88 degrees outside and there's a crystal clear pool just begging for you to jump into it, waiting for your mom to finish her blogging can seem like an eternity!
