Seriously, this is one of my all time favorite series! It's a down-home, feel-good kinda series that makes me crave the next installment!
This time around, Jillian Hart has her hands full with a pampered black cat named "Isis". Trying to determine if Isis was abandoned, or if the kitty has slipped out on her own, Jillian tracks down the well-to-do (to say the least) owner and quickly sees that something is amiss.
Ritaestelle Longworth is the very wealthy lady of Longworth manor house. Although a longstanding member of "society", the townsfolk are starting to question Ritaestelle's sanity and trustworthiness - lately she's been found with some stolen accessories, and been telling some outlandish stories.
Convinced that her money hungry, mooching family members are drugging her tea, Ritaestelle enlists Jillian's help to prove that somebody really is out to sully her good name. When her secretary Evie is found floating in the lake behind Jillian's house, and Ritaestelle is standing nearby with a bloodied rock in her hand, it will take some quick thinking on Jillian's part, plus the help of all her feline friends to help clear Ritaestelle's name and reputation.

FUN, FUN, FUN SERIES!!! There is something about Leann Sweeney's "Cats In Trouble" mysteries that keep me coming back for more. They have great story lines, and I love Jillian Hart!
I'll tell you a secret (not really, since I've stated it on this blog before, but...) when I can really get into a book, I can picture the characters in my head. Now, I've never met Ms. Sweeney, per se, but I have seen pictures of her. And she is exactly what I have in my mind for Jillian.
As for Jillian's love interest (but mostly friend) Tom Stewart, I've got none other than Tom Selleck stuck in my head!
Candace, an evidence loving police officer and Jillian's closest friend I have pictured as one of the security guards at my son's school (I don't have a photo of her! LOL).
Having these images of the characters in my mind really helps to cement the story as well as the people, so I can keep track of what's going on in the book. (Weird, I know!) If they're just faceless ideas, sometimes it's hard to get into the story.
Not so with the "Cats In Trouble"! Ms. Sweeney manages to pull me in each and every time!
