Tasty Tuesday.... "Meatloaf Dip" Sandwiches

MEATLOAF "DIP" SANDWICHES

2 lbs. meatloaf mix
(this can be found in your grocer's meat case. It is a mixture of ground beef, veal, and pork.  1 lb. of ground beef and 1 lb. of ground pork can be substituted if you can't find meatloaf mix)

1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1 envelope mushroom-onion soup mix
(onion soup mix may be substituted)
1 egg
1 10 3/4 oz can condensed tomato soup, divided

8 Kaiser rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine meatloaf mix, bread crumbs, onion soup mix, egg, and 1/2 cup of tomato soup.  Reserve remaining tomato soup.

Shape into 8 patties.  Place on broiler pan, or similar pan that will allow juices to drip through to bottom.
Bake for 45 minutes, flipping 1/2 way through cooking time.

With about a 1/4 cup of water, loosen browned bits from bottom of the pan.  Combine drippings with remaining tomato soup and heat until bubbly.

Serve patties on rolls with small bowls of gravy to "dip" sandwiches into.
